PJU Repair in North Jakarta to Be Accelerated on Saturday-Sunday

Various ways have been conducted by North Jakarta Industry and Energy Sub-Department to minimize the damage of street lights and add some lights points on the prone locations and residentials.

Head of North Jakarta Industry and Energy Sub-Department, Tuti Kurnia stated the total of street lights spread in 6 sub-districts is 7,354 points. Routinely, everyday, starting at 4 PM-2 AM, hundreds of personnel deployed in turn to repair those damaged lights

"We speed up the reparation on Saturday-Sunday. As at that time it would not distrub road users," she said, Saturday (10/3).

Street Lights on Jalan Brawijaya Repaired

According to her, to ensure the readiness of her personnel, every Friday afternoon, a muster is routinely held at North Jakarta Mayor Office. Her sub-department has 105 main personnel, 17 freelancers, 6 supervisors and 5 sections.

"We keep trying to repair and maintain street  lights in self-manage. We target won't rely on the partner anymore. We will also open recruitment for freelancers especially graduated from electricity technical school (STM)," she told.

She added, her party has prepared motorcycles, car, ladder and other equipsment so that the reparation goes optimal and fast.
